Role Summary:

The CEO leads the development, recommendation, and execution of Company strategy and is responsible for the performance and culture of the organization

Reports to:

Board of Directors through the Lead Independent Director

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Design and define operating principles, strategy, initiatives and organizational objectives for Board review and approval that support owner’s objectives
  • Organize, identify, develop and motivate talent required to execute operating principles, strategy and organizational objectives
  • Ensure execution of board approved operating principles, strategy, initiatives and organizational objectives
  • Ensure sufficient capital to achieve owner and organizational objectives
  • Mentor, coach and develop next generation family leadership
Outcomes include:
  • Documented and executed senior management succession and development plans
  • Timely approved:
    • Strategy and organizational objectives
    • Annual objectives
    • Annual budget and capital expenses
  • Successful definition, execution and achievement of plans and targets including but not limited to:
    • Sustainable revenue
    • Sustainable gross profit / margin
    • Sustainable cash flows
    • Financing
Ideal Characteristics:
  • Experience as a “C suite” team member
  • Particularly strong finance background (especially capital and cash flow planning, governance and management)
  • Prior P&L responsibility
  • Lead or directed business planning and budgeting process
  • Experience with family business succession/transition
  • Experience with managing and supporting senior management team members
  • Track record of strong communication and conflict management skills
  • Track record as an empathetic, effective listener and communicator
  • Willingness and ability to develop and cultivate next generation family leadership
Compensation:

Market compensation in industry and commensurate with experience and ongoing performance
