Princess Kay Canada Plum (Prunus nigra ‘Princess Kay’) sparkles in early spring with double white flowers that appear in small clusters. Fall color is a medley of bright red and yellow leaves accented by a showy crop of yellow-red, one-inch diameter fruits. Winter interest is created by dark bark punctuated by bright lenticels. This small tree has an upright, narrowly oval form and a USDA Zone 3 hardiness rating. Selected from a native source in Northern Minnesota, it was introduced by the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
