Snowcone® Snowbell and Musashino Columnar Zelkova are among the 44 new trees, shrubs, groundcovers, annuals and perennials to be showcased in the NMPRO New Plant Pavilion at the ANLA Management Clinic in Louisville, Ky., Feb. 1-4. More than 1,000 nursery and landscape professionals are expected to articipate in this annual educational event sponsored by the American Nursery & Landscape Association.

The new plants will be presented on the big screen by NMPro Editor Todd Davis during a Friday evening, Feb. 3 cocktail reception that will embrace these exciting new plant introductions as well as new technology solutions for the nursery industry. Clinic attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite new plant showcased in the Pavilion.

J. Frank Schmidt III will represent the Company at the reception and will be on hand to share information on these and other exceptional trees that we grow.

Snowcone® Snowbell is narrow in youth, growing into a predictably uniform, broadly pyramidal tree. Covered in spring with pure white, bell shaped flowers, it sports dark green foliage and is resistant to the twig dieback common in seedling grown trees.

Musashino Columnar Zelkova forms a narrow column of refined, medium green leaves that turn yellow to rusty orange-yellow in the fall.  Growing to a mature height of about 45 feet and spread of only 15 feet, its very narrow, upright vase shape gives good clearance for pedestrians and traffic on busy urban streets. Planted with great success in Japan, Musashino Columnar Zelkova are impressing our customers across the country. Download a color data sheet on this plant in PDF format here.

Bare root liners purchased from us have grown to three inches in caliper in the fields of Moon Nurseries, Chesapeake City, MD.
