Gold Dust® Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Gold Dust’) is a selection of the variegated form of the North American native species. Its glossy green leaves are edged and irregularly blotched with warm yellow-green tones that appear to be dusted with flecks of gold dust. The green and yellow leaves are distinctive in color as well as shape, with sharply pointed leaves that lend an interesting texture overall. New growth is splashed with pinkish tones.

Pink, yellow and burgundy tints liven the mix of foliage color in the fall. Gold Dust® Sweetgum is broadly pyramidal in youth and matures to a rounded overall shape and a height of about 45 feet, with a spread of about 30 feet. Hardiness is USDA Zone 5.
